When I shoot a nursery or playgroup I tend to take more
time than other photographers. This seems to be appreciated by the
parents and most of my nursery work has come from referrals from parents
and groups I have worked with.
Customers may choose any items from my standard price
list, or from my specially reduced Nursery price list which starts at £3
for a 6" x 4" print. There is no minimum order so I make a profit
only if the pictures are good - and that's the way I like it.
Now, most playgroups want to organize their shoots so that the parents can
get their pictures in time to use as Christmas presents. But it's often
left too late for comfort.Having the shoot early allows more time for
choice, and avoids the Christmas rush at the processing labs and the royal
mail.
Many families visit relations at easter, summer, and october holidays and at the half term days. It
would be nice to be able to give pictures and photographic presents at
these times. Whenever they are taken, they may still be bought up to
at least two years later. I pay a generous
proportion of the total order value back to the organization for their
funds and many organizations use this as a fund raising event encouraging
friends and family to come along.
